WalkyDog Bike Leash Lets Dogs & Owners Exercise in a Fun New Way

A dog bicycle leash is a great way for owners and their dogs to get great exercise together and have fun doing it. Obesity is a growing problem among family animals. The complications that come along with it such as diabetes and arthritis can lead to high vet bills and ultimately a shorter life for your best buddy. Because we all want are dogs to live long healthy lives, it is important to make sure they get proper exercise.

The WalkyDog dog bike leash lets you safely take your dog with you on bike rides by letting you keep both hands securely on the handlebars. The WalkyDog features a patented internal spring system that acts like suspension when your dog pulls. It puts you in control – not the dog. Riding a bike is much more fun than just walking your dog and it allows the dog more freedom to run and release energy.

Below is a collection of real WalkyDog owner testimonials. Learn why WalkyDog owners become lifelong advocates below:

Pefect Design
“I purchased a WalkyDog so that I could take my 2 year old Basenji with me on some of my bike rides. Because it mounts on my seat post, the bike remains very stable even when the dog tries to veer off or jerks on the bike. The leash itself is very durable and is attached to a spring on the inside so that when the dog darts after a squirrel (which happens a lot with my dog!) he snaps right back to the normal running position. I tend to angle my WalkyDog arm backwards about 30 degrees rather than mounting it at a 90 degree angle to the bike, so we’re not very wide as we go down the bike trail. I think this is a wonderful product, and now I can indulge in my two favorite hobbies at the same time—bicycle riding and hanging out with my Basenji!”

Brinkley’s 1st Ride Using the WalkyDog Low Rider Attachment

Here’s a video I took today showing 2 ways that small dogs can go on bike rides too – either using the WalkyDog Low Rider or custom length cord with the regular WalkyDog jaw clamp. You will notice in the video that I am going pretty slow – especially compared to how I ride with Parker. It is very important to ride at the dog’s pace – especially for small dogs. I also like to use a dog harness when biking my dogs. This is a must for small dogs in my opinion, but some people choose to attach to the collar with larger dogs. Just use your best judgement. Enjoy!

My 1st attempt at filming while using the WalkyDog

I decide to test out my new camera with Parker using the WalkyDog the other day. It was a little difficult getting used to riding one handed while trying to shoot, but I think I got some decent shots.
